I have a background in law and languages, having studied a BA in Private Law and Psychology, followed by an LLB at the University of Cape Town. My love for languages led me to study Latin at UNISA and French in Nice, Amboise, Paris, and London.

Before moving fully into teaching, I ran several businesses while tutoring online. Later, I completed my CELTA at International House in Cape Town and, in 2011, moved to Russia to work as a private governess for a high-net-worth family. A few years later, I made the bold decision to go freelance, teaching students aged 4 to 16, mostly following the British Curriculum. I’ve prepared students for Cambridge Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, and PET for Schools, as well as tutored adults in Business English after completing a course in Import, Export, and Logistics Management at UCT.

In December 2019, I moved back to South Africa, with many of my students continuing online lessons with me. Over the years, my focus has shifted to legalese and Business English, as well as conversational English for adults. I incorporate a mix of course books and real-world materials, including the latest financial and business magazines, to keep lessons relevant and engaging.

Having lived and worked in Russia for many years, I understand the specific challenges Russian speakers face when learning English, especially in grammar and pronunciation. My teaching approach is tailored to help students overcome these difficulties, making language learning practical, engaging, and effective.
